Kuf the Candy Kid

By the time the Alef-Bet family finished baking Matza they were covered with flour and ready to shower and get ready for Shabbos on the Kibbutz. The Alef – Bet family joined the Kibbutz members for Shabbat services. Kuf the Candy Kid gave all the children candy as a reward for praying so nicely from their very own Siddurim, prayer books. The children of course decided to save the candy for dessert. Shabbat dinner began with the Kiddush ceremony. Since Shabbos is a special day we remember Shabbos and make it holy by saying a special prayer over a cup of wine. We use wine because it is a special drink that makes an occasion special. (Just like we welcome Shabbat with a cup of wine we say goodbye to Shabbos at the Havdallah ceremony which is also said over a cup of wine.)
